Second Africa Regional Preparatory Conference, Accra, Ghana, 2-4 February 2005Representatives of the WSIS Gender Caucus were present at this Regional Conference. The Caucus was invited to give a presentation on "WSIS Gender Caucus: Promoting Gender in the Information Society" on the 30th January during the "Gender in the Information Society" breakout session of the Multi-stakeholder Partnership Pre-conference Workshop. The WSIS Gender Caucus addressed the closing Plenary of the World Summit to acknowledge that constructive proposals have been incorporated into the WSIS Declaration and to urge goverments to respect commitments made to gender equality during the Summit.
