The workshop theme “How can women journalists cover ICT issues?” will be presented through an oral presentation, case studies and discussions around three (3) sub-themes.

The WSIS Gender Caucus has focused its advocacy and lobbying on six recommendations for action. These recommendations are based on the fundamental areas where gender integration and the empowerment of girls and women in the Information Society are most important.

Gender Caucus Events at WSIS 8-13 December 2003
In an attempt to make strategic and intellectual inputs at the Summit and with a special focus on development issues, the WSIS-GC is organising events centred around 3 tiers: a series of panel discussions, debates and roundtables; a multimedia exhibition showcasing materials on women’s participation and contributions and celebratory spaces celebrating women’s contribution to the Information Society.
