WSIS Gender Caucus Context & Background by Lettie Longwe

This paper was one of the documents presented in Geneva at the WSIS Gender Caucus (GC) orientation session on the 13th of September. In it, Longwe gives a brief background on the need for the orientation session, GC objective, priorities, funding status, core programmes of the GC and activities being implemented. She concludes by outlining the envisaged outcomes from the orientation session and how they would impact on the WSIS process.

Dr. Gillian Goddard, a behavioural change/human development consultant from Trinidad and Tobago, made a presentation on the role of Internalised Sexism in creating obstacles to gender advocacy.
